In order to ensure the equality of recruitment of researchers in the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area, the European Commission has adopted the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

Endorsing the principles outlined in the Charter and Code, within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Project “Enhancement of Higher Education Research Potential Contributing to Further Growth of the WB Region” (Re@WBC), the University of Belgrade signed the Declaration of Commitment to the principles of the Recommendation of the European Commission on the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Recruitment of Researchers on October 12, 2017. To fully implement these principles, the University of Belgrade also adopted an Action Plan (https://template.rcub.bg.ac.rs/files/sr/nauka/University_of_Belgrade_Template_4_Action_Plan.pdf), which represents a synthesis of the Analysis (https://bg.ac.rs/files/sr/nauka/Analiza-HRS4R.pdf), elaborated on the basis of the Questionnaire of rights and obligations of researchers at the University of Belgrade. One of the key aspects of this procedure is its emphasis on the necessity for institutions to advance towards the principles of Open, Transparent, Merit-based Recruitment.
